Multan Customs seizes NDP vehciles & goods worth Rs310.4m in September

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs  Enforcement Multan has seized non-customs paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods worth Rs310.4 million in various anti-smuggling actions in September 2023-24.        

Sources told Customs Today that Multan Customs Collectorate Anti-smuggling Organization has stepped out crackdowns against smuggled goods to curtail smuggling in the jurisdiction. Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling staff has thwarted several attempts of smuggling in the Jurisdiction on the basis of credible information against smuggling.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling organization has enhanced the patrolling of the suspected routes to intercept the non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles. Anti-Smuggling squad of Multan Customs Collectorate has enhanced vigilance of suspected routes on the special directions of Collector to thwart any attempt of smuggling. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has alerted a few crucial strategic routes to intercept any smuggling attempt.        

The Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded 39 various smuggled vehicles of almost worth Rs.70 million in the month of April. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized non-customs duty paid vehicles which includes Toyota Vitz, Honda Civic, Toyota Fielder and others in their various crackdowns. All impounded vehicles were found non-duty paid and non -tampered during verification.        

Anti-Smuggling Organization has detected 23 various seizure cases of High-Speed Diesel, Spare parts, cloths, betel nuts, Skimmed milk, Tyres, cigarettes and others of almost worth Rs.239.88 million during their aggressive crackdowns in the region during September 2023-24.These impounded vehicles and goods were intercepted from Multan, Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad and Sahiwal regions during crackdown of Anti-Smuggling Organization in the month of September.

Collector Multan Dr. Rehmatullah Vistro informed Customs today that Customs is making every effort to foil attempt of smuggling and anti-smuggling organization is conducting intelligence-based operations in the region to eliminate menace of smuggling. Multan customs enforcement is working efficiently to eliminate smuggling within its limits.
