Multan Customs seizes NDP vehicles & goods worth Rs145.9m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E& C) seized no- duty paid various vehicles and miscellaneous smuggled goods of worth Rs145.9 million in the first 18 days of the October.

The Collectorate carried out different anti-smuggling operations on the directions of Collector Muneeza Majeed. These anti-smuggling operations were conducted on the basis of intelligence information received by Customs anti-smuggling in the region.

Multan Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization has formed 13 seizure cases in first 18 days of the on-going month of October in their actions.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized 8 vehicles Rs13.1 million including Toyota Premio, Toyota , Toyota Vitz car and others. Customs anti-smuggling teams detected five seizure cases of worth Rs132.8 million from other districts of jurisdiction in their actions so far in the month of October by impounding smuggled vehicles and goods.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling team has increased the monitoring of movement smuggled vehicles to curb smuggling of vehicles in the region.

Due to enhanced surveillance of suspected routes Customs Anti-smuggling has also increased the patrolling in the region to curtail smuggling of vehicles from Dera Ghazi Khan Region in the month of October so far.
