Multan Customs seizes NDP vehicles & goods worth Rs405.75m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E& C) has seized non-customs paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods worth Rs405.75 million during the month of November 2020-21.

Sources told Customs Today that Multan Customs has carried out various crackdowns against smuggled goods to curb smuggling attempts in the region on directions of Collector Muneeza Majeed.

Multan Customs anti-smuggling staff has thwarted several attempts of smuggling in the Jurisdiction based on credible information against smuggling.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has enhanced the patrolling of the suspected routes to intercept the non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles.

Anti-Smuggling squad of Multan Customs Collectorate has enhanced vigilance of suspected routes on the special directions of the Collector to thwart any attempt of smuggling. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has focused few crucial routes to intercept any smuggling attempt.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded 11 smuggled vehicles of worth Rs15.3 million in the month of November. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has also seized non-customs duty paid vehicles, which includes Toyota Vitz, Honda Civic, Toyota Premio, Toyota Fielder, Toyota Hilux Surf and others in their various crackdowns. All impounded vehicles found non-duty paid and non-tampered during verification of forensic examination.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has detected various seizure cases of betel nuts, dry fruit, High Speed Diesel, betel nuts, Skimmed milk, tyres, cigarettes, auto parts and others of almost worth Rs.390.45 million during their aggressive crackdowns in the region throughout November 2020-21.

These impounded vehicles and goods intercepted from Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali region during crackdown of Anti-Smuggling Organization in the month of August.
