Multan Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs 62.42 million during April

MULTAN: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office has seized the extensive quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs 62.42 million during April.

According to details, Multan Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized the smuggled goods worth Rs 32.977 million from the various operations against the smuggled goods in the different locations of Multan.  Different teams of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has done various operations on the basis of their intelligence in which the Customs teams were successful throughout the month.  The seized smuggled goods during April includes the  wax oil, Dextrose monohydrate food, whey powder , Mitsubishi Air conditioner .There were five various seizure cases lodged from the location of Multan in April. The Customs duty on the seized smuggled goods was almost worth Rs.15.2 million during the various actions from the staff of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan. The customs teams have captured two smuggled vehicles of Rs1.2 million from the region of Multan during April.

Sadiqabad Region of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized the 11 vehicles of Rs32 million during April in different actions against the smuggled vehicles. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Sadiqabad has seized the smuggled High Speed Diesel from the different locations due to effective intelligence and formed 11 seizure cases in April. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Sadiqabad region staff has seized the smuggled goods of almost Rs26.65 million during April. The total customs duty on the seized smuggled goods becomes almost Rs22.15 million in April.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Dera Ghazi Khan Region has formed three seizure cases during the month of April due to their strict monitoring against the smuggled goods .The three seized smuggled vehicles consists of Toyota Vitz, Corolla X and Corolla G in the different actions against the non-customs paid .The value of the three seized vehicle in the location of Dera Ghazi Khan becomes almost Rs2.8 million. The customs duty assessed on these seized vehicles becomes almost Rs2.8 million during  April.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office has seized the illegal smuggled goods of Rs62.427 million enters in the region through various hideouts of the country. The customs duty on the seized smuggled goods in the month of April turns out to be almost Rs.40.166 million. The total worth of the smuggled vehicles in April becomes almost Rs.36 million.

Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Nisar Ahmad has devised the effective strategy in the location of Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office. Additional Director Nisar Ahmad has established the strict monitoring in the three various regions after the establishment of different checkpoints in the jurisdiction to curb smuggling and has accomplished extraordinary achievements in the region.

Due to the effective tactics from the Customs Intelligence and Investigation under the command of Additional Director Nisar Ahmad has curtail the smuggling in the region by seizing the massive amount of Rs62.42 million during April. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office is facing acute shortage of manpower for their operations in their jurisdiction but due to adjustment in their actions against the smuggled goods Customs Intelligence and Investigation has shaped vast attainment in April.
