Multan Customs Trade Facilitation desk fails to address specific challenges faced by businesses in South Punjab, such as unique regulatory requirements, Customs Clearance procedures or logistical issues, it may not resonate as a valuable resource for the local business community.

Renowned Businessman Khawaja Muhammaad Suleman Siddiqui informed Customs today that Multan Customs Collectorate have not communicated to South Punjab Business community about the newly established Trade Facilitation Desk and to make it successful effective communication with business community is crucial. He also informed that if the messaging doesn’t clearly convey to business community then how the desk can simplify trade processes and boost efficiency, businesses might overlook its potential advantages.

He further informed that there’s a perception in a business community of South Punjab that the trade desk’s procedures are complex or time-consuming, then businessman may be hesitant to switch from their current approaches, impacting overall engagement. Businesses might be inclined to stick with familiar trade practices, especially if they perceive the existing methods as more convenient or established, hindering the adoption of the Customs Trade Facilitation desk.

To overcome these challenges, it’s essential to implement targeted awareness campaigns, actively address specific business concerns, improve communication strategies, and showcase the desk’s efficiency in streamlining trade processes for the unique context of South Punjab. Furthermore he said that holistic approach can foster increased interest and participation from the local business community
