Multan Dry Port exports Rs 1997.25m goods in March‏

MULTAN: The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has exported the goods of Rs 1997.25 million from Multan Dry Port throughout the month of March.

The major export items exported from the Multan Dry Port and Muzaffargarh Export Terminal are increasing every month due to the increasing demand of goods in the other parts of the world. The goods exported from Multan Dry Port in the month of March increased with every passing month and its net value in the month of March was of Rs 1997.25 million as compared to Rs I970.66 million in the month of February.

The major items exported from the MDP were cotton yarn, garments, shoes uppers leathers ,leather shoes ,thread or textile made-up  etc.

Cotton yarn is the main export item with a volume of Rs 1433.89 million in the month of March for the existing Fiscal Year 2014-15. Export of cloths was also an essential items tune up to Rs 266.073 million in the month of March.

Shoes uppers made up of leather and traditional leather shoes contained the export value of almost Rs 188.48 million.

Textile exports consist of Rs 44.30 million and remaining other export items included amount of Rs18 million in the month of March .
