MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Multan Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has rolled out stringent measures targeting transporters involved in the trade of wheat and flour, aiming to clamp down on smuggling activities in South Punjab.
Under the new directives, transporters are mandated to strictly adhere to documentation protocols, ensuring the inclusion of accurate sales tax invoices in their shipments. These invoices must comprehensively outline essential details such as the dealer’s name, buyer’s identity, and seller’s particulars for all wheat-related transactions.
The initiative, spearheaded by Multan Customs Enforcement, underscores a concerted effort to bolster oversight and disrupt illicit trade networks operating within the wheat and flour sector. By imposing these stringent regulations, authorities aim to ramp up surveillance capabilities and stem the unlawful movement of goods across borders.
Furthermore, Multan Customs Enforcement has actively engaged with key industry stakeholders, including the Transport Association and Goods Association, soliciting their cooperation to streamline operations and uphold legal compliance. This collaborative approach underscores a shared commitment to combat smuggling while fostering transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.
