MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 286 vehicles from Multan and its surrounding areas during crackdown against unregistered and token tax defaulters.
According to the details, the excise teams have initiated campaign against unregistered and defaulter vehicles on the directions of excise director. The teams checked more than 3,000 vehicles on different routes.
Local police assisted the excise, as most of the vehicles were impounded by Police during the crackdown.
The Excise teams have generated almost Rs 4.1 million in one day by recovering tax from the defaulters.
