Multan Excise impounds 881 unregistered, token tax defaulters vehicles in April

MULTAN: The Multan Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 881 vehicles in the crackdown against unregistered and token tax defaulters during April.

Multan Excise and Taxation Department Division Motor branch has taken actions against the various token tax defaulters and applied for registration during April. The crackdown against the vehicles was initiated after the clear directions of Director Excise and Taxation Multan Jaam Siraaj Ahmad.

Most of the applied for registration vehicles were locked up in to the various police stations as the applied for registration vehicles are also a threat for security because the extremist can use it any terrorism through the unregistered vehicle.

Almost 707 vehicles were imposed three times penalty through challan of their vehicle and their documents were seized by the Department. Motor branch have taken the strict action against token tax defaulters vehicles which were without the payment of token in the different locations of Multan Divisions during April.

Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 81 applied for registration vehicles during April in various actions taken against them for non-registration of their vehicles in the Multan Divisions.

As many as 67 different vehicles from various parts of the Multan Divisions were captured on the shortage of proper documents from the owners of the vehicle and few of them were locked in the various Police Stations of the Multan City in April during different crackdowns from the teams of Excise department Motor branch.

Excise teams of motor branch have impounded 881 vehicles during the general hold up operations of the Multan by monitoring the entry and exit of the Multan to capture the vehicle involved in any violation of Excise.
