The Secretary Excise has suspended Jaam Siraaj and other employees due to corruption charges and referred their cases to Anti-Corruption Establishment for the comprehensive investigation of the matter. The suspended employees of the Multan Excise and Taxation Department have allegedly registered 700 bogus vehicles by misusing their powers and also have tampered the actual record.

The Multan excise is scrutinizing available record to ensure that whether the registered vehicles records or files are available in the office or not. The department has finalized their report after the examining available record in order to judge the tampered record.

They are also directed to verify the existing records whether it is available in actual form or not because excise officers have handed over or stolen record of the vehicles for the elimination of any concrete evidence in this regard.
