Multan I&I assigns special duties to FIU staff on Eidul Fitr

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation–has assigned special duties to field intelligence staff for anti-smuggling operations on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to details, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has deployed their employees in the Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) to restrain any attempt of smuggling.

Sources told that smugglers will try to transport smuggled goods and vehicles on Eid-ul-Fitr occasion. Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has intimated all Customs Intelligence staff of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Sadiqabad region to remain alert in the jurisdiction on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation staff will monitor the suspected routes of the jurisdiction to thwart any smuggling of attempt on Eid-ul-Fitr and vigilance of suspected goods and vehicles will be screened out.

Directorate has assigned special duties to Customs Intelligence & Investigation employees from 23rd to 27th August in the four various shifts.

Intelligence Officer Adnan Chandio will perform his duties on 23rd May (Saturday) along with Zulfiqar Ali, Muhammad Afzal. Intelligence Officer Muhammad Umar will perform his duties with Shahid Mukhtar, Shakeel ur Rehman and Jamil Ghous on first day of Eid-ul-Fitr 24th May.

Intelligence Officer Syed Mohsin Shah will perform his duty on 25th May on second day of Eid-ul-Fitr to prevent any smuggling attempt along with Shahid Mukhtar and Naveed Akhtar.

Similarly Intelligence Officer Muhammad Mobeen has been assigned duty along with Muhammad Afzal, Zulfiqar Ali and Saifullah on 3rd day of Eid-ul-Fitr(26th May).
