Multan I&I forms special teams for anti-smuggling operations during Eidul Azha holidays

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation –FBR has assigned special duties to employees for anti-smuggling operations on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

According to details, Director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation deployed employees in Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) to restrain any attempt of smuggling.  Sources told that smugglers will try to transport smuggled goods and vehicles on the occasion of Eidul Azha. Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Khial Muhammad Khan have intimated Customs Intelligence staff to remain alert in the jurisdiction on the occasion of Eidul-Azha.

Deputy Director Khial Muhammad Khan has directed Customs Intelligence and Investigation staff to monitor the suspected routes of the jurisdiction to thwart any smuggling attempt. He has given duties to Customs Intelligence & Investigation employees from 21st August to 24th August in the four various shifts.

Intelligence Officer Muhammad Haq Nawaz will perform his duties on 21st August (Tuesday) along with Zulfiqar Ali, Muhammad Afzal and Umer Ali. Intelligence Officer Zafar Iqbal Khan will perform his duties with Shahid Mukhtar, Haq Nawaz and Jamil Ghous on first day of Eid-ul Azha 22nd August.

Intelligence Officer Javaid Bhatti will perform his duty on 23rd August on second day of Eidul Azha to prevent any smuggling attempt along with Haq Nawaz, Shahid Mukhtar and Naveed Akhtar.

Similarly Intelligence Officer Haq Nawaz has been assigned duty along with Muhammad Afzal, Zulfiqar Ali and Saifullah on 3rd day of Eidul Azha (24th August).

Senior Intelligence Officer Nasir Malik will perform supervisory duties on Eidul Azha and he will monitor all field intelligence inspector during holidays of Eidul Azha.
