Multan I&I generates Rs2.37m through auction of lubricants & HSD

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Office has generated almost Rs.2.37 million through the public auction of High-Speed Diesel Oil and lubricants.

According to details, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Office has carried out auction of 232575 litres of High-Speed Diesel (HSD, motor engine oil, lubricants and others. Customs Intelligence also presented 270 drums of grease (all are rusty and in leakage condition), Moto oil brand of 20 litres can of 1099 and 970 cans of lubricants during auction.

Almost three Eligible Oil Marketing Companies participated in the auction under Rule 49 by submitting sealed offer in the name of Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan and sealed quotations/bids along with 25 percent earnest money in the form of pay order or bank demand draft in favour of Collector of Customs.

During auction of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan HSD bid was postponed due to fewer amount from the reserved price.

The bid offered in the presence of all participants under rule 73 of Customs and successful bidder will remaining amount of said HSD. Customs Intelligence generated Rs.2.37 million from the auction of lubricants, Moto oil and grease during auction.

Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Muhammad Hamza Lak supervised the whole auction process to ensure transparency.
