Multan I&I seizes smuggled Nylon Rope near Khanewal Road

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office seized huge quantity of foreign origin Nylon Rope.

According to details, Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Muhammad Hamza Laak received credible information that huge quantity of smuggled Nylon Rope will be smuggled. Deputy Director Customs Intelligence alerted the field Intelligence Unit of Multan and directed them to enhance monitoring of suspected routes to foil any bid of smuggling in the region.

Customs Intelligence formed special team including Inspector Mohsin Raza Shah, Inspector Adnan Inayatullah, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Nasrullah and others to take action against smuggled goods. Following the directions of Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation, the team intercepted a suspected truck having registration number of E-7056/Peshawar near Khanewal Road which was loaded with huge quantity of foreign origin Nylon rope and others.

Field Intelligence Unit of Multan recovered almost 30500 kilograms of Nylon rop. The origin of recovered Nylon rope was Iran and they were smuggled through Afghanistan. The net worth of seized goods was R.6 million. Further action was still under process.
