MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive generated Rs.7.055 million through the auction of confiscated goods and vehicles lying at the State Warehouse.
According to details, Customs Collectorate held public auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods at the Multan Dry Port Sher Shah.
Multan Customs Collectorate sold out four vehicles of foreign origin different brands and model in the auction including Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Vitz, Honda Civic and other, while remaining 13 confiscated vehicles were rejected due to fewer prices offered in the auction. Bidders shown their interest in bidding non-customs paid vehicles.
Multan Customs sold non-customs paid vehicles in almost Rs4.8 million during auction. Successful bidders deposited ¼ amount of their bid at the spot to endorse their vehicle.
All these confiscated vehicles were non-customs paid and they were impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions from jurisdiction.
Multan Customs Collectorate has also offered 22 different lots of miscellaneous goods including mobile phones of different brands, electronic goods, auto parts, foreign origin cloths in roll shape, CCTV cameras, LCDs, brake handle module, dental surgical tools, PVC coated fabrics roll, two lots of 80,000 liters POL products and High Speed Diesel, dry fruits different engines, spare parts and others.
As many as four different miscellaneous lots of spare parts, tyres and dry fruit lot were sold out in Rs2.25 million during auction.
Assistant Collector Multan Dry Port Muhammad Fahad Jamil supervised the whole auction process of confiscated goods and vehicles to ensure transparency.
