Multan Preventive hosts grand farewell for Collector Muhammad Saleem

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive officers and staff arranged a grand farewell in honour of recently transferred Collector Muhammad Saleem who has performed his services for almost six months in the Collectorate.

Collector Muhammad Saleem has been transferred from Preventive Multan to Customs Collectorate Peshawar. Multan Customs Preventive has performed remarkable under leadership of Collector Saleem during his posting. Multan Customs Collectorate Preventive achieved remarkable achievements which will assist Collectorate in their future tasks.

He geared up the anti-smuggling activities in the jurisdiction by overhauling anti-smuggling squad with new strategy and detected mega tax cases of smuggling including Q-mobile, White Spirit, contraband items and others in the jurisdiction. Collector Muhammad Saleem achieved benchmarks in the Collectorate due to its active approach. Multan Customs Preventive accomplished all assigned revenue tasks and also collected surplus revenue through detection of mega seizure cases.

The Collector stated in the farewell address that he is pleased and encouraged to see high spirits and cooperation of all Officers and employees during my posting and we attained results due to mutual efforts of team work.

Payment of taxes is our responsibility to run affairs of country and we need to cultivate the tax culture through the payment of our taxes in the society for progress like the developed nations of the world to boost revenue tax collection.

He said that Multan Customs is one of the major collectorate of Pakistan and we focused on all branches equally for accomplishing desired results.

He advised to employees to continue their job with full commitment to accomplish future tasks. He advised fellow officers to remain focused, work according to laid down procedures and also, use administrative structures to redress grievances when needed.

Collector Muhammad Saleem admitted that he was lucky to work in a fully compassionate and cooperative environment in his stationing and he thanked Multan Customs for farewell.

Additional Collector Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi acknowledged Muhammad Saleem during his postings because he is one of the capable and diligent officers who have expertise over customs laws and procedures. He worked delicately on set tasks throughout his posting in Multan which also assisted Collectorate to accomplish task effectively. He extended his full support to achieve many milestones in future.

Director Customs Intelligence Dr. Muhammad Adnan Akram, Additional Collector , Additional Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi, Additional Collector Additional Collector Talib Hussain, Additional Collector Ghulam Nabi, Deputy Collector Amjad Ihsaan, Deputy Collector Maqbool Ahmad Baloch, Assistant Collector Syed Jalal Haider Zaidi, Assistant Collector Beenish Rasheed and  Assistant Collector Fahad Jameel and other staff of the Collectorate were also present.
