MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive released truck and seized chocolate /candies after the collection of Rs1.460 million duty taxes along with redemption fine.
According to details, Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization Mianwali squad has recovered huge quantity of foreign origin chocolates and candies from jurisdiction. Chocolates were loaded on the truck bearing registration number TKU-44 and Anti-Smuggling Organization recovered almost 2492 cartons of foreign origin chocolates and their net weight was almost 10962 kilograms.
Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized foreign origin chocolate along with vehicle under customs act 1969.
Customs Adjudication has issued Order-in Original ONO 202/2019 dated 9/12/2019 against respondent Shaukat Ali. Owner Shaukat Ali has requested Customs Adjudication that they are willing to pay duty and taxes for the unconditional release of seized chocolates. The Collectorate of Preventive has conducted assessment of duty and taxes of foreign origin chocolates and collected Rs1.460 million vide cash for the release of their seized consignment.
Owner Shaukat Ali son of Muhammad Anwar has paid duty and taxes along with redemption fine in the light of Order-in-Original no.202/2019. Multan Dry Port Trust has released chocolates along with vehicles to its lawful owner after meeting legal formalities.
