Multan RTO assists 22 people for declaring their assets

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Regional Tax Office (RTO) asset declaration facilitation cell has assisted further 22 new taxpayers in declaring their hidden assets on Tuesday and collected Rs 4.5 million under Asset Declaration Scheme.

According to the details, the Federal Board of Revenue has established a special facilitation cell for the assistance of people who wanted to declare their hidden assets under Asset Declaration Scheme.

Deputy Commissioner Headquarter Regional Tax Office Abid Gulshan has directed members of facilitation cell to cooperate with the people and encourage them in declaring their assets.

Four members including Cost Accountant Muhammad Aslam, Nadeem Ahmad, Lower Division Clerk Aftab Ahmad and Muhammad Shahid Akhtar are assisting public about asset declaration scheme and motivating them to become filer by declaring unannounced assets.

Well-placed sources of Regional Tax Office informed Customs Today that as many as 22 tax returns were filed under asset declaration scheme through facilitation cell and almost Rs 4.5 million taxes have been collected from said persons.

Tax authorities of Multan are still expecting that a huge number of non-filers will declare their assets under asset declaration scheme soon.
