Multan RTO collects Rs 29.3b during five months of FY2015-16

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan has collected tax revenue of Rs 29.3 billion in the first five months of the current fisal year 2015-16. The revenue generation shows 2 percent  increase against the fixed target .

The statistics reveals that the RTO Multan has not only achieved  the set target of the first five months (from July to November) worth Rs 28.72 billion but also collected the extra- tax revenue worth Rs  0.58 billion against the prescribed  target  of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The set target for the Regional Tax Office under the heads of different taxes was worth Rs 13.12 billion for income tax, Rs 14.80 billion for sales tax whereas for the Federal Excise Duty (FED) was Rs 0.8 billion but the office accumulated worth Rs 12.72 billion, Rs 16.35 billion and Rs 0.2 billion in the heads of income tax, sales tax and FED respectively and subsequently gathered extra tax revenue worth Rs 0.58 billion in the initial first months of the FY 2015-16.

While the RTO Multan has shown depriciation in tax collection in the month of November as compared to fixed target as the office has made a net collection worth Rs 6.90 billion in November 2015 in the heads of different taxes including income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty as against the assigned net target worth Rs 7.4  billion for this month showing decrease of 6.7 percent.

The Regional Tax Office has collected income tax worth Rs 3.08 billion, sales tax Rs  3.8 billion and FED Rs 0.019 billion during the month of Nov. 2015.
