Multan RTO collects Rs1.50b under Tax Amnesty Scheme

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office collected Rs.1.50 billion under the Tax Amnesty Scheme.

Tax amnesty Scheme is receiving good response from people and large number of people through nationwide including Multan and Sahiwal has declared their assets under this Scheme. The Federal Board of Revenue managed to collect Rs1.50 million taxes under the money whitening scheme in the Regional Tax Office due to meticulous efforts in the jurisdiction.

It is necessary to mention here that tax amnesty scheme was introduced to expand tax base of the country and Federal Board of Revenue is running large scale awareness campaign in this regard by organizing different seminars in business community after its launching.

The Federal Board of Revenue has established special facilitation desk in the Regional Tax Office to facilitate individuals through tax amnesty scheme who assist general public. Tax authorities also organized seminars for the public awareness about tax amnesty scheme. Exactly 1548 people have availed the tax amnesty scheme announced by the federal government so far in Multan and deposited almost Rs.1.50 billion million with the regional tax office Multan.

A tax authority of Regional Tax Office is hoping that they will witness surge in the number of those availing tax amnesty scheme by encouraging people in upcoming days.
