Multan RTO launches awareness campaign for online filing of tax returns

MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) initiated an awareness campaign for online filing of tax returns.

Sources told Customs Today, that the Regional Tax Office formed four members team with a special task to create awareness among taxpayers in Multan City.

The Federal Board of Revenue is trying to educate taxpayers for filing of tax returns. Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue Mukhtiar Hussain Thaheem, Inspector Muhammad Shehzad, Inspector Muhammad Asif and Inspector Shakeel Ahmad are working taxpayer awareness campaign in the Multan City.

Regional Tax Office special teams are organizing different awareness seminars in the markets and business organizations in the city.

The purpose of public awareness campaign is to bring large number of number of public in tax net and broaden the scope of tax net.  The Federal Board of Revenue has simplified its online tax return filing system but it was observed that people were unable to file tax returns online due to inexperience and special team will educate them about procedure of online tax filing.

Special team of Regional Tax Office Multan has visited Hussain Agahi Market, Ghanta Ghar, Chowk Shaheeda, Cantt Market and others to aware public and traders about online filing of tax returns.

Awareness team of Regional Tax Office is advising taxpayers to filing tax returns on time to avoid any fine after the due date of filing.
