Multan RTO prepares list of top 20 tax evaders

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) has prepared list of top 20 high worth tax evaders to initiate strict action against them.

The Federal Board of Revenue has directed Regional Tax Office specialized tax unit to take action against high net worth individuals in the Jurisdiction.

Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan Abid Raza Bodla has also issued jurisdiction order for the action against high net worth individuals. Focal Person high net tax worth Mazhar Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue will analyze economic activity and other important areas of information received for further proceedings both in the case of filers and non-filers. In cases of filers, cross-matching of information with the declared version, to identify specific discrepancies and risk areas for selection for audit.

List of high net worth taxpayer includes Muhammad Ashraf, Malik Falak Sher, Bahadar Ali, Muhammad Aslam, Zafar Iqbal, Sadiq Hussain, Muhammad Akbar, Naseem Khatoon, Muhammad Amjad Iqbal, Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Shakeel, Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Altaf, Muhammad Arshad, Azam Hayat Bosan, Mushtaq Ahmad and Muhammad Baqar Chaudhry.

The Federal Board of Revenue has provided their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) numbers to Regional Tax Office for verification of their tax details. Specialized Unit of Regional Tax has been directed to deal their cases on immediate basis and their discrepancy reports generated will be forwarded to Directorate General of Broadening of Tax Base for further action.
