Multan RTO recovers Rs2.4m from DHQ Muzaffargarh

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office on Wednesday seized the official bank account of the District Headquarter Hospital Muzaffagarh for recovery of outstanding taxes.

Sources told Customs Today, that administration of District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) Muzaffargarh was using delaying tactics for the payment of their due taxes to Regional Tax Office. Tax authorities traced the official bank accounts of the defaulter for necessary action.

Regional Tax Office has served several notices to District Headquarter Hospital Muzaffagarh for the payment of their due taxes under the head of withholding taxes. But District Headquarter Hospital Muzaffargah administration failed to submit any positive reply for the payment of their due taxes to Regional Tax Office Multan.

The Regional Tax Office Multan took permission from chief commissioner RTO Abid Hussain Bodla for attachment of their bank account for recovery of outstanding amount.

Regional Tax Office Multan team seized bank account of District Headquarter Hospital Muzaffargarh and recovered Rs 2.4 million in their action. It is pertinent to mention here that the Regional Tax Office has accelerated the recovery drive from defaulters in the jurisdiction to meet the assigned revenue task of current fiscal year 2018-19.
