Multan RTO registers FIR against M/s Bin Tariq Impex Proprietors

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office Multan Inland Revenue has lodged criminal FIR against M/s Bin Tariq Impex Proprietors over fraud.

According to details, Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan Inland Revenue Abid Hussain Bodhla received information from his source that M/s Bin Tariq Impex Proprietor has received Rs.80 million refund claims through misleading and cheating tax department. Said company M/s Bin Tariq Impex Proprietor was owned by owner Nabeel Shahzad.

Accused Nabeel Shahzad has declared M/s Bin Tariq Impex Proprietor as manufacturing unit at Multan who exported copper and got sales tax refund of almost Rs.80 million through cheating.

But on investigation by Commissioner Corporate Zone Muhammad Bilal and Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan it was found that said company has neither manufacturing unit nor any business found at the mention address of manufacturing unit near stadium Road Multan.

During investigation of Regional Tax Office Multan Inland Revenue, they found that accused has managed to complete paper work just to get sales tax refund as manufacturer and said company provided fake documents to tax department for obtaining tax refund of Rs.80 million. The Regional Tax Office Multan Inland Revenue has started legal proceedings against accused after logging FIR and further investigation is still under way.
