audit financial company tax investigation process business accounting

Multan RTO to conduct audit of 162 cases

MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) has issued notice to 162 selected industrialists, salaried individuals and businessmen for audit.

The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office Multan has started audit of taxpayers, industrialists and salaried individuals. The Regional Tax Office Multan has selected 104 cases of industrialists, salaried individuals from Multan and 58 cases were selected from District Khanewal.

Tax authorities of Regional Tax Office was emphasized for speedy disposal of cases by Federal Board of Revenue and directed that quality of assessment should not be compromised while concluding the cases.

Moreover, authorities directed audit officers to refrain from unnecessary requisitioning of documents, especially in cases where revenue potential was not very high.

The chief commissioner IR and Commissioners apprised the Board that standardized parameters for disposal of cases pertaining to different sectors and classes of persons will be devised and disseminated among all Audit Officers for speedy disposal of cases in a consistent manner.
