MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) observed a handsome jump in the filing of tax returns from taxpayers.
According to details, almost 67,553 people filed their income tax returns electronically while Regional Tax Office collected almost 2467 income tax returns manually from taxpayers before the deadline of Federal Board of Revenue.
Regional tax authorities received almost 50,000 tax returns during the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Almost 24% significant increase in filing of tax returns from individuals has been observed in tax office during the current fiscal year.
Regional Tax Office has paid special attention on manufacturing and corporate sector besides individuals to broaden their tax net. The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office efforts to educate taxpayers in filing the tax returns gave fruitful results.
