Mutlan Collector Ambreen to brief Chief Collector Zeba Hai about revenue collection measures today

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Collector Ambreen Ahmad Tarar will brief Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Zeba Hai Azhar about the revenue collection measures of the Collectorate today.

Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Zeba Hai Azhar will preside over a Collectors Conference on 8th March (Friday) to review performance of the Collectorates. The chief collector has called all the collectors of the Central Region in the meeting to discuss revenue collection measures and performance by the officials concerned of the four Collectorates.

Collector of Customs Multan Ambreen Tarar, Collector Customs Preventive Ahmad Rauf, Collector Appraisement Amjadur and Faisalabad Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig will participate in the chief collectors conference.

All the collectors will brief Chief Collector Zeba Azhar on the revenue collection measures during the first eight months of the fiscal year 2018-19. Every collector will be given 30 minutes briefing about his Collectorate’s performance.

Sources told that the collectors of all the four Collectorates will present their revenue collection reports of the ongoing fiscal year 2018-19. The Collectors will also present their anti-smuggling performance of the eight months and compare it with corresponding fiscal years. They will inform about current strategy and plan to curb smuggling in the jurisdiction.

Chief collector Zeba Azhar will also brief about top ten spinning units from which they collected customs duty and sales taxes separately. The Collectors will also present detailed report about litigation cases in different courts which have stuck revenue of Collectorates and recovery of arrears will also be discussed in the Collectors Conference to sort out solution.

The revenue collection will also be compared with the previous fiscal reports to form a solid strategy for the better collection of revenue by taking few effective measures. Collectors will chalk out proper plan and make effective strategy for the collection of revenue in the last quarter of the ongoing financial year 2018-19.
