NAB arrests accused in Rs 80m embezzlement

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Tuesday arrested Ali Usman Ch. principal accused and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ali Usman Securities, Lahore in a case of more than Rs 80 million.

NAB Lahore in the same case has already arrested Qasim Zia, EX-MPA, and Usman Saeed, Directors of Ali Usman Securities, Lahore yesterday, said a press release issued here.

The accused persons were doing business of stock brokerage firm at Lahore Stock Exchange.

The accused persons sold out the shares of general public without authorization and utilized the money for their personal gains.

By doing so, the accused persons committed offence of cheating public at large and criminal breach of trust.

Accused Ali Usman Ch will be produced before the Accountability Court for physical remand whereas Qasim Zia and Usman Saeed have already under physical custody of NAB.

NAB Lahore has received 82 claims against the above accused persons which will be dealt according to the law.
