ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau has arrested Officer Incharge Local Fund Audit Muhammad Akhlaq Sheikh, AD Local Fund Audit District Badin.
The accused, being officer incharge, pre-audited bogus measurement of development schemes to allow illegal payments to the local contractors of Town Municipal Administration (TMA) Talhar.
The accused was found involved in loss of Rs. 70 million to TMA in connivance with other co-accused persons.
