NAB arrests bank fraudster

KARACHI:  The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi has arrested accused Sheikh Abdul Waheed, CEO/Director of Supreme Gums Limited Lahore involved in bank frauds.

NAB Karachi has arrested the accused following the non-bailable warrants issued by the Accountability Court No. IV Lahore.

The case is pending before the trial court and the accused was a defaulter of many banks since 2007, said a statement issued by NAB here on Monday.

The arrested accused was on transit remand and will be produced before the Accountability Court Lahore.

The action was taken by the NAB Karachi in line with the directives of Chairman NAB, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to arrest proclaimed offenders, under section 31-D of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
