NAB arrests proclaimed offender involved in scam

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested a proclaimed offender, Asad Majeed, from far-off areas of the provincial capital.

According to NAB spokesman, the accused was at large  since 2015 who cheated general public at large by promising  them to return their investments as double and managed to collect Rs23 million in connivance with co-accused Zulfiqar Ali who is still at abscond.

NAB Investigation officials filed a corruption reference in an accountability court after completing proceedings in 2015 whereas the both accused were declared proclaimed offenders from the court.

NAB Lahore Intelligence Wing arrested the main accused, Asad Majeed, during a raid in far-off areas of Lahore.

NAB officials would produce the accused before an  accountability court for physical remand to keep  investigations continue.
