NAB arrests three men for alleged involvement in property fraud

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in a crackdown on land mafia, arrested Haji Khalid Mehmood Awan, Sheikh Faisal and patwari (revenue official) Shahid on Sunday.

Sources told Customs Today that the accused, with the connivance of each other, illegally sold case property cautioned by NAB in another case.

The accused persons prepared fake and forged documents to palm off the property in question. In doing so, the accused persons committed the offenses of corruption by misuse of authority and fraud.

NAB authorities produced the accused in the accountability court and obtained their physical remand for 15 days.

The accountability court asked NAB authorities to produce the accused again in the court after the completion of their physical remand.
