NAB arrests two persons on corruption charges

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Malik Irshad Ahmad, Sub Divisional Officer, Irrigation Department, Punjab for his alleged involvement in corruption by way of accumulation of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The accused is in possession of movable and immovable assets worth of Rs. 67 million that are disproportionate to his legal sources of income.

The accused started his career as a low grade employee in Irrigation Department and have made assets worth of millions after joining service, in his name and in the name of his department.

In another case, NAB arrested Muhammad Ahmed Nadeem s/o Raja Fateh Khan, a Director of Ahmed Nadeem Securities Pvt Limited.

He was involved in corruption and corrupt practices by way of cheating public at large and criminal breach of trust.

The accused dishonestly and fraudulently collected amount to tune of Rs. 85 million from general public and later refused to return money or shares, thus depriving them to their hard earned money.
