NAB chief for expediting probes of ‘top cases’ without any fear

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to speed up the investigation process of ‘top corruption cases’ within 10 days without any fear

NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has sought details of important cases from all the regions and directed the completion of the investigation process within 10 days.

The NAB had said the non-interference policy of the government helped the bureau become an independent organisation and it respected the prime minister’s opinion. In reaction to the comments passed by the prime minister about NAB’s working, it said the organisation inherited some problems and it was speedily taking necessary steps to resolve them. The process of accountability would be further improved in the light of the prime minister’s recommendations.

In a press release, the spokesperson had said it was determined to eliminate corruption from the society.
