NAB KP files reference against fake travel agents

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) (KP) has formally filed a reference in the Accountability Court Peshawar against accused Ameer Ahmed Shah, Shahid Hussain, Humayun Khan and Naveed Akhtar, owners of Al-Mustafa Manpower Agency Shakoor Japan at Charsadda for cheating public in the name providing Hajj visas.

The accused were running a fake travel agency in the name of Al-Mustafa Manpower Agency Shakoor Japan at Charsadda.

The accused lured the general public through radio advertisement during the seasons of Hajj & Umrah and collected approximately Rs.330,000 each from 55 intending pilgrims and offered them private Hajj facility.

The pilgrims when reached their office at Charsadda for collection of visas and passports, they found the accused disappeared depriving dozens of people from their hard earned money.

Taking cognizance of the complaints, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa actively pursued the inquiry/ investigation and arrested the culprits for financial fraud and deceiving innocent people on pretext of religious ritual. The accused arrested by NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were now in judicial custody.
