NAB-KP receives 3369 complaints in 2017

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau –Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NAB – KP) received as many as 3369 complaints during the outgoing year 2017 recovering 6.157 million over the period.

In a meeting held here at NAB – KP office, it was said that since its inception the bureau has recovered Rs 6540 million with 74 percent conviction ratio in cases, an officials documents available with this agency revealed adding that in year 2017, as many as 28 references were filed by NAB – KP while 52 accused were apprehended, NAB – KP data revealed.

It said under the head of direct recoveries during the year 2017 eight cases of Voluntary Return, 101 of Plea Bargain, eight of PESCO, 28 pending and four were filed. The document said that in 3369 complaints the bureau file 33 references, conducted 41 investigations and authorized 77 inquiries while arrested 5 accused.

NAB – KP since its inception arrested 843 accused, while filed 490 referenced and recovered Rs 6540 million.
