NAB, KPK Youth Affairs Directorate join hands to create awareness against corruption

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Directorate General of Sports and Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkwha Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate in creating awareness against the corruption and corrupt practices.

The MoU was signed by Mirza Sultan Muhammad Saleem, Director Awareness and Prevention NAB and Junaid Khan, Director General, Sports and Youth Affairs KPK on behalf of their respective organization.

Chairman NAB, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry and Brig (R ) Farooq Naser Awan, DG NAB KP witnessed the signing ceremony according to NAB statement issued here which added that nothing in this MoU shall be repugnant to NAB Ordinance (NAO), 1999.  Under the MOU, both the departments would work in collaboration with each other for the awareness against the corruption and corrupt practices.

The MoU also envisaged to inculcate skill and unravel the potential talents in youth and academia and aware the public administration and society about the havoc of corruption through strategies and imparting knowledge to them for implementing and monitoring the public projects transparently as per the provision under section 33-C of NAB Ordinance, 1999.
