LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has started regular inquiry against Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Khan on corruption charges, official sources told Customs Today.
As per details, it was told that NAB was already investigating the case in initial stage but now the board has allowed the Punjab chapter of the bureau to convert it into a regular inquiry, he added.
The NAB in recent past had announced to launch investigations against Rana Mashhood who in a video appeared negotiating with Asim Malik, the owner of an infamous visa consultancy firm ‘Future Concern’, about funding to ruling PML-N. NAB also declared it will probe corruption in the Punjab Youth Festival 2014 and entries of ‘fake records’ in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Meanwhile, Rana Mashood has told media that he has requested himself to NAB for probing allegations regarding Punjab Youth festival.
