NAB recovers Rs 45.877m from NTC’s contractor

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered Rs 45.877 million related to irregularities and loss to national exchequer found in case of a project for construction of National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) Regional Office Building, Lahore.

NTC Managing Director Brig (R) Viqar Rashid Khan had forwarded the case to NAB for investigation.

A press release issued here on Friday said that during a meeting, Director NAB informed the PAC Sub-Committee-III the case has been finalized with a recovery of Rs 45.877 million in favour of NTC.

It was informed that using its good offices, the case was pursued by Managing Director NTC and was successfully finalized, audit report 2009-10 revealed.

The convener of the PAC Sub-Committee-III appreciated Viqar Rashid Khan which resulted in recovery of Rs 45.877 million from the contractor.
