NAB recovers Rs287b so far: MM Waqar

PESHAWAR: Additional Director Awareness and Prevention Wing NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mian Muhammad Waqar on Thursday said the bureau has so far recovered Rs 287 billion in different scams and distributed among affectees.

Addressing a seminar held here at District Buner on Anti-Corruption, he said society can help NAB in arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders, who he said are over 100 in NAB-KP.

He said all the pillars of state including judiciary, executive, media, anti-corruption agencies, civil society and legislature shall act within their own constitutional ambit so that Pakistan may progress.

Officers of all District Govt Departments, Notables, Politician, Students and Civil Society of District Buner participated in the seminar. EDO (Male & Female) Education, District Khateeb, DC Buner spoke on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Buner stress upon self-accountability and urged the society to join hands in anti-corruption drive as it has weakened the very fabric of society. He urged the society to lodge complaints without any fear and favour.

At the end He said that NAB is working hard and its employees are burning their mid night oil under the guidance / command of Director General NAB (KP) to eradicate corruption from the society.
