NAB starts character building of students to make corruption free society

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB-Karachi) in pursuance of directives of Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhary to focus on formation of Character Building Societies (CBSs) of students has initiated coordination with management of educational institutions.

In first phase CBSs would be formed in Army Public Schools and Colleges (APSAC), Fazaia Schools and Colleges, Bahria Foundation’s Schools and Colleges, Beacon House Schools, The City Schools, and  The Educators, a press release issued by NAB-Karachi said here on Thursday.

The awareness team of NAB led by Maj (retd) Shabbir Ahmed, DG NAB participated in the Regional Coordinators’ Training Conference, at Army Public School, Saddar. It was attended by all the Principals of Army Public Schools of the region.

Brig Omar Qureshi who is the President, Managing Committee of (APSACS) attended the occasion.

The team presented NAB documentary and a detailed presentation elaborating the Awareness Mandate and the plan and activities under the Awareness Regime. The aim, methodology, composition, and feedback mechanisms of each awareness activity including CBS and its activities that include Seminars / Workshops, Play / Tableau Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Declamation Contest (Speech/ Debate/ Poetry), Poster / Painting Competition, Lectures / Talks and Anti-Corruption Walks were presented to the audience. The NAB Team also shared in the briefing that NAB conducts motivational lectures, signing of integrity pledge and under taking of integrity oath at various institutions.

As part of the campaign the NAB is also conducting FM Radio Programmes through FM Radio channels on various areas of corruption and role of NAB.
