NAB summons PM’s principal secretary

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Principal Secretary of PM Fawad Hasan Fawad today in the Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal.

The bureau also summoned Ali Imran, the son in law of Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on May 3.  NAB has been probing the Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal and the role of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC), Lahore Casa Developers and other officials in the award of the contract for constructing the scheme.

There was major role of Fawad in change of contract and other irregularities. NAB has summoned Ali Imran on May 03 and he is facing charges of making assets beyond known source of income. Also, NAB arrested five people accused of financial irregularities and corruption in Lahore Parking company.

The arrested are CEO Taseer Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Usman Qayyum, GM Faizan Wali, Manager Accounts Saad Rafique and National Technology Group CEO Faisal Rao.

The NAB will produce these accused before the accountability court today to get physical remand.
