LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to widen the area of probe against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan and investigate the assets owned by his family members as well in the alleged offshore company case.

Sources privy to NAB said that the bureau had started investigating the assets owned not only by Aleem Khan but also by his wife, parents, close relatives and friends.

NAB summoned a detail of assets owned by the PTI leader and his relatives since 1985. It has given the parties a deadline of April 12 to submit the documents.

Earlier in 2018, a NAB probe committee had asked Aleem Khan to present details of Hexam Investment Overseas Limited, which according to records is owned solely by him. The PTI leader, however, had claimed that his company was not named in the Panama Papers and that he would present all documents required by the NAB.
