LAHORE: Qamar Zaman and Abdul Waheed have been elected President and General Secretary respectively in the elections of the Lahore Tax Bar Association 2017-18.
The elections were held on Monday in which candidates of Naeem Shah Group and Rizvi Group had to face a tough competition.
Finally, candidates of Naeem Shah Group won the elections with heavy mandate and Qamar Zaman elected as president and Abdul Waheed as General Secretary for the next one year.
President-elect Qamar Zaman got 821 votes and candidate from Rizvi Group, Iftekhar Ahmed, got 680 votes. Similarly, Vice-President-elect Shahbaz Saddique got 793 votes and General Secretary-elect Abdul Waheed got 795 votes.
For the Finance Secretary, Rana Mubasher succeeded and got 772 and Joint Secretary Syed Irfan also got 772 votes and won the seats.
