NEW YORK: U.S. space agency NASA has denied the alleged impact of an asteroid on Earth, after a theory went viral on the web.
NASA has no knowledge of any asteroid or comet that is currently on a collision path with the Earth, therefore the odds that a significant collision takes place are very few, a NASA spokesperson said today.
In fact, as far as we can say, it is unlikely that any big object collides with the planet in the next hundred years, the official insisted.
A community of biblical theoreticians led by self-proclaimed prophet Efraín Rodríguez says that life as we know it would disappear between September 22nd and 28th this year. According to the community, governments of the worldâÖs leading countries are aware of what will happen and have kept the information in secret to avoid mass hysteria.
According to the website Inquisitr, Rodríguez claimed he had received a message from God that an asteroid that would “soon be seen in the alarm systems of NASA” was approaching. He said the asteroid would hit the ocean near Puerto Rico and cause a massive earthquake and tsunami that would devastate the East Coat of the U.S., Mexico, Central, and South America.
Warning against ignoring the message, he instructed NASA to issue an alert “so people can be relocated from the areas that are to be affected.”
