WASHINGTON: Water, water everywhere! After multiple experiments and tests NASA has announced that liquid water has been found on Mars that may harbor hopes of some life forms on the planet.
The scientists of NASA said that in their quest for extra-terrestrial liquid water on Mars they discovered curious lines of hydrated salt minerals, which require water for their creation, on the Martian surface, News24.com reported.
Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and co-author of the research said that their finding would further substantiate that theoretical possibility of liquid brines on Mars.
These results strongly support the hypothesis of liquid water on Mars.
The research paper is published in the journal Nature Geoscience.
