HONG KONG: NASA launched its new mission of hunting for alien life outside our solar system through the Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NexSS) project.
The Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NexSS) project aims to expand the network of researchers as they look for exoplanets out there. This means that all researchers and exoplanets enthusiasts will be working on a single platform. This will include experts in earth science, planetary science, heliophysics and astrophysics.
Jim Green, director of Nasa’s Planetary Science Division released a statement saying, “This inter-disciplinary endeavour connects top research teams and provides a synthesised approach in the search for planets with the greatest potential for signs of life.”
“The hunt for exoplanets is not only a priority for astronomers, it is of keen interest to planetary and climate scientists as well,” he added.
The Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NexSS) project includes researchers from Universities and institutes.
