LONDON: NASA is now more serious and dedicated to finding alien life beyond the borders of the solar system. The agency’s newest mission is specially designed to hunt life other than those on Earth – the Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NexSS) project.
Basically, the NexSS project will strengthen and extend its network of research team working on discoveries of exoplanets outside the solar system. But to make things clear, interested researchers, astronomers, and space enthusiasts will be working on one project – which means experts in Earth science, Planetary science, Heliophysics and Astrophysics are all invited.
A statement was released by the director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, Jim Green, saying, “This inter-disciplinary endeavor connects top research teams and provides a synthesized approach in the search for planets with the greatest potential for signs of life.”
He also mentioned that exoplanet discoveries are not only of interest to astronomers, but also kept planetary and climate scientists well curious and excited.
