CANADA: After completing his six months stay on the International Space Station and completing the three scheduled spacewalks last week, NASA’s Barry Wilmore is back to Earth. Barry was one of the two American astronauts who completed the three spacewalks in preparation of NASA’s additional docks.

According to reports, the capsule landed upright in heavy fog southeast of the town of Dzhezkazgan on the Kazakh steppes. With the help of the recovery team who arrived within minutes, the three astronauts were extracted from the capsule within 30 minutes.
After being extracted from the capsule, the astronauts were places in a recliner-style chairs set up near the capsule, to begin their readjustment to gravity and undergo brief medical tests.
All three astronauts are healthy and Serova was even smiling during the whole process.
The three astronauts left three more on the International Space Station.
On March 27, the next batch of astronauts that will stay on the space station will be joining them. They are astronauts Scott Kelly and Mikhail Kornienko, the first two astronauts to stay on the station for full 12 months. International Space Station astronauts normally stay for six months only.
International Space Station astronauts are expected to multiply in number once the new dock is completed and NASA’s space taxi program becomes operational.
