KARACHI: A group of 14 participants of 106th National Management Course of National Management College, Lahore along with three faculty members visited Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, here on Monday.
FPCCI President Zubair F. Tufail, welcoming the team, briefed them about FPCCI role in developing the economy of the country, said press release here.
He explained the difficulties in meeting the targets of trade and industrialization. The high cost doing business,he mentioned, as one of the main reasons.
He maintained that international recession had caused decline in Pakistan’s exports adding other countries including Turkey, Japan and Indonesia also suffered the same way.
He said that due to our full support and cooperation, present government collected Rs 3.6 billions of tax revenue in fiscal year 2015-2016, which was more than the set target.
It was expected that during this year, the government would be able to achieve the target of Rs 3.9 billion.
FPCCI President informed that in recent meeting with Federal Ministers of Commerce and Finance, FPCCI leadership requested for further enhancement in export packages and also issue directives to Commercial Attaches at Pakistan embassies to fully cooperate with exporters.
